AAAA Welcomes Gino Ricciuti as APMEC Chair

AAAA is delighted to announce the appointment of Gino Ricciuti as the new Chair of the Australian Automotive Products Manufacturers and Exporters Council (APMEC). With a distinguished career and extensive experience in the automotive industry, Gino brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to APMEC.

Gino is well known to many in the industry, currently serving as the Executive General Manager of Innovative Mechatronics Group (IM Group), where he has been instrumental in driving innovation and growth. His leadership at IM Group has been marked by significant advancements, including its Infinitev program which, has set the standard for remanufactured hybrid battery technologies, reducing environmental waste and lowering costs for consumers.

Gino’s appointment comes at a pivotal time for the automotive manufacturing industry, with sovereign manufacturing and resilience at the forefront of the federal government’s agenda, as seen with the recent announcement of the Future Made in Australia Fund. Under Gino’s leadership, we look forward to APMEC continuing to advocate for the needs of automotive manufacturers to ensure the growth and sustainability of the Australian automotive manufacturing industry.

APMEC recently put forward a submission to the Inquiry into the Transition to Electric Vehicles. This submission details the need for targeted funding that also addresses the broad issues that our industry is facing. To view the submission, please CLICK HERE
